As I look back on my long career, thirty years or so, I have to admit that I have broken off from the established convention, the one that usually goes under the label as contemporary or modern art. In fact if you were to ask me the reason why I chose this different path I would find it difficult to give a simple answer. I will say that certain events in my life have greatly influenced my art, in particular a significant personal tragedy that I suffered twenty years ago.

Besides my artwork I find great solace in being with my family. Meditating, reading good books and listening to classical music are some of my favorite pastimes. I study every approach to an understanding of the meaning of life and even after-life. As for my art, I have gradually become an "Old Master" or rather a late representative of Art Nouveau, although I find it to be impossible to classify. The quotations accompanying my pictures are drawn from the ideas of philosophers, mystics and thinkers of all sorts.
